Foreign Legal Consultant
Foreign Legal Consultant Certification (C.R.C.P. 204.2)
Foreign licensed attorneys may be certified to practice as a foreign legal consultant in Colorado if they are licensed in a foreign country and have been actively practicing law for the past three of five years, and if certain conditions are met. A person certified to practice as a foreign legal consultant under this rule may render legal services in Colorado only with regard to matters authorized by the law of the foreign jurisdiction(s) in which the person is admitted to practice. Such person shall not be considered admitted to practice law in Colorado or in any way helf themself out as a Colorado attorney.

The Completed Application with supporting documents may be mailed to our office with payment or submitted electronically to attorney_registration@coloradosupremecourt.us.
If submitted electronically, an invoice for the filing fee will be emailed to you. The Application will not be processed until payment is received.
