Pro Hac Vice

An out-of-state licensed attorney (C.R.C.P. 205.3 - court) (C.R.C.P. 205.4 - state agency), or a foreign licensed attorney (C.R.C.P. 205.5) in good standing may be permitted to appear in a particular matter in any state court or agency if certain requirements are met. Please review C.R.C.P. 205.1 (Temporary Practice by Out-of-State Attorney - Conditions for Practice) or C.R.C.P. 205.2 (Temporary Practice by Foreign Attorney - Conditions of Practice) for definitions relevant to the Pro Hac Vice Authority rules.

You must file a copy of your motion and affidavit with the Office of Attorney Registration, as well as with the court or agency in which you are requesting to appear via Pro Hac Vice. The filing fee for Pro Hac Vice motions is paid to the Office of Attorney Registration. Our office will not process your PHV request for the relevant court or agency without payment of the filing fee and the office will notify the court or agency if the filing fee is not paid. You may mail your paperwork and filing fee to our office or file via email by sending to prohacvice@csc.state.co.us - include in the email the contact information for our office to send an invoice for payment via email, which may then be paid online.
